Guyanese Girls Rock! is a global movement created to Recognize, Honor, Connect and Celebrate Guyanese women and girls who are demonstrated leaders and accomplished achievers in the Diaspora. Since launching in 2013, the GGR Blog has featured more than 150 inspirational women who have realized professional and academic success.

Cloyette Harris-Stoute, Founder

Founder, Cloyette Harris-Stoute,  is a strong believer that girls need great role models from whom they can draw inspiration so in 2013 she created the Guyanese Girls Rock Blog to pay homage to the brilliant and talented women from her birth country. 

A proud native of Guyana, Cloyette migrate to the USA more than two decades ago.  Her desire to transform the world through service led her to later establish the Guyanese Girls Rock Foundation;  a 501(3)c non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Guyanese girls to become the next generation of global leaders.   As President of the Foundation, Cloyette overseas the administration, programs and strategic plans of the organization which offers mentoring, personal development workshops and scholarships.

Cloyette’s commitment to the Guyanese community has earn a 2014 Guyana Cultural Association Award for outstanding contribution, and special recognition in 2016 from the Guyana American Heritage Foundation Inc., and the Guyana Action Network for her invaluable service to Guyanese in the diaspora.  In 2017 she received the Caribbean Business Connections (CBC) Woman of Power Award,  the Miss Caricom International “Danny Glover Power of Dream” Award and the Golden Arrowhead Award of Achievement and Distinction from the Guyana Tri-State Alliance, Inc.

Cloyette holds a Master’s Degree in Medical Informatics and currently works as a Knowledge Base Administrator for a leading medical software developer.  Her motto “You are more than enough, you were born to rock!” is a reminder to women and girls to know their own worth, and create their own path to success.
