Abigail Loncke

Congratulations to Guyanese Entrepreneur, Abigail Loncke, who was recently recognized during President Obama’s Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative following her participation in the 4 week program.

Her Story: After struggling to find her own grandfather a home care, Abigail realized there is a problem for so many other families, so she started Community Healthcare, a home care agency, and she started out as a service to help families take care of their loved ones but now has a social movement that also provides training and job opportunities for young women in healthcare.”

“I feel extremely grateful to even be recognized by President Obama and to be apart of history, as that was the last international speech for President Obama. This is the beginning of something great for my company and I’m still on cloud nine right now”, she told News Source.

Abigail was one of four young Guyanese entrepreneurs who were chosen by the local embassy to be part of the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative in the United States. The program took more than 250 participants to 21 US cities, and Abigail was chosen as one of the participants to fly across to Peru for President Obama’s town hall meeting with young leaders from the Americas.
