The Guyana Cultural associated hosted its annual Folk Festival on September 4th at the Old Boys High School in Brooklyn, New York. GGR was happy to be one of vendors and a part of the festivities, which included entertainment, exhibitions, food booths, live music. The event was well attended which gives us an opportunity to raise funds and promote awareness of the Guyanese Girls Rock movement and scholarship.
We would like to thank everyone who stopped by our booth and purchase GGR items, and also those who simply wanted to say hello, including New Consul General of Guyana in New York, Ms. Barbara Atherly.
