Letitia Wright is having a fantastic 2018. Not only was she in one of the biggest movies of the year, she’s also an Emmy nominee! The 24 year-old Black Panther actress was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series for her role as Nish in Black Mirror. Last night Photographer Basia Bowen captured the Emmy nominee getting ready for the ceremony with her beloved grandmother, Ms. Claudette.
According to Vogue UK, after floating options from a handful of designers clamouring to dress the Guyanese-born British star, it was a Pamella Roland gown that wooed Letitia and her stylist Ed Samuels. “We really fell in love with the metallic ruffled tiers, silver paillettes and pearl embroidery,” Samuel shares. “I felt the elements of the gown tied in perfectly with the youthful and charming aura of Letitia.
On the red carpet Letitia was asked if her Emmy nomination had sunk in and she responded that she hasn’t process it yet. She said that she is however honored and grateful to have an Emmy behind her name. Letitia also addressed the issue of aggressive fans who forcibly want to take photos with her. She wants to remind those fans that movie stars are humans who also need to a have level of privacy.
