She Rocks! Kylie Bunbury – A Rising Star in Hollywood

If you were a fan of the ABC Family teen drama ” Twisted”, then you’re familiar with Kylie Bunbury who played Lacey Porter, a popular teenager on the show. Kylie is a talented actress and model, born in Ontario, Canada in 1989 to a Polish and Swedish American mother, Kristi Novak, and Guyanese-born Canadian father, Alex Bunbury. Kylie’s father was a professional soccer player who won the sixth most caps all time for the Canadian men’s soccer team. She has two younger brothers, Teal and Logan. Teal followed in his father’s footsteps and is also a professional soccer player for the New England Revolution.

Prior to her acting career, Kylie spent two years in London and then seven years in Portugal, where her father played professional soccer. Her family then moved to Minnesota where she developed an interest in modeling. In 2007, while a senior in high school, Kylie began her modeling career in the Twin Cities, signing with Minneapolis-based Vision Management Group. She quickly became one of the agency’s top commercial models, securing regular stints for top brands such as Target, Vanity Clothing and Abercrombie & Fitch. After three years, Kylie decided to move to Los Angeles and pursue an acting career. She studied acting at the highly regarded Playhouse West School and Repertory Theater in Los Angeles under Robert Carnegie.

Kylie made her acting debut in 2010 at age 21 as Kathleen on NBC’s long-running soap opera Days of Our Lives. In 2011, she appeared in the Disney feature film “Prom.” That same year Kylie played a supporting role in Fox’s The Sitter, directed by David Gordon Green (“Pineapple Express”) and starring Jonah Hill and Sam Rockwell. Kylie later landed the coveted role of Lacey Porter in the ABC Family series Twisted.

In 2015, Kylie joined the cast of CBS’ summer drama series Under The Dome, from Amblin TV and CBS TV Studios. She played Eva, a beautiful and intelligent woman who comes to Chester’s Mill with her boss, Lucy, in search of the egg. In her latest role, which aired during Summer 2015, Kylie played Suhad, the strong-willed winsome warrior, in SPIKE TV’s limited series, TUT. In the three-part series, which was filmed in Morocco, Suhad is a beautiful and endearing girl of Mitanni descent who developed a strong bond with the young Egyptian king, despite the fact she was not of royal bloodlines.
